Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Cincinnati College of Law! The Office of Admissions & Financial Aid has created this page with you in mind to serve as a resource as you make the transition into law school.
Your career at the College of Law begins with a week-long orientation program called “Introduction to Law.” This year, that program will occur from Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16, 2013. In addition to a variety of speakers and events, a one-credit hour class is also incorporated into this week. Fall semester schedules and corresponding textbook lists for incoming students are provided during this week.
Prior to orientation, the College of Law hosts its annual “Taking Care of Business” day on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event enables incoming students to obtain their new UC ID cards and to meet with representatives concerning financial aid, student health insurance, student lockers and information technology. Returning law students will even be on hand to provide tours of the law school building. While this program is not mandatory, virtually all incoming students attend each year to wrap up these administrative items before classes officially begin.
