Hiring a Student or Graduate

Posting an Announcement

The Center for Professional Development works to match the educational and experiential backgrounds of our students to employers’ specific needs. We strive to develop long-term relationships with local employers to understand the unique nature of your practice and the specific qualifications and skills you seek in employees.

We welcome employer job announcements for part-time, summer, and full-time positions. All job announcements are posted to students via our online portal, Symplicity. If you have a position you would like to post:

  • You can log into Symplicity and enter the posting. For a username/password, please contact CPD at cpdlaw@uc.edu
  • You can complete our Job Listing Form.
  • You may forward a copy of your announcement via email to cpdlaw@uc.edu.
  • You may also call us directly at 513.556.6810.

Resume Collections

Many employers take advantage of our “Resume Collect” program. Should you wish to participate in a resume collect, we will post your job AND collect resumes directly from qualified students. Although some employers choose to have students contact their organization directly, resume collects give you the added advantage of receiving all applications at one time, enabling you to simultaneously consider all candidates before scheduling interviews or arranging a campus visit.

On-Campus Interviews

Once you’ve posted your job announcement and received resumes from interested students, you may choose to conduct your interviews on the College of Law’s campus. While we host a formal on-campus interview program each fall and spring, we welcome employers to interview as the need arises.

To facilitate the on-campus interview process, our office will collect student resumes and forward these well in advance of your visit, allowing you time to review the resumes and select your interview candidates. Once you have selected those students you would like to interview, we will notify those students and schedule their interviews within the time you have allotted.
