Legal Training Critical to Business Success for Bruce Eichner '69
Ian Bruce Eichner '69 had "fond memories" of his three years at the College of Law and, more than 40 years later, he decided to give back by creating a fellowship program. This summer, two 3L students, Matt Mikhail and Yinan Zhang, gained hands on legal and business training at Eichner's New York City real estate development business, The Continuum Company LLC. Their exploration of non-traditional career paths came as part of the Eichner Family Foundation Entrepreneurship Fellows Program started by the Continuum CEO. (Read More)

College of Law Professors Launch New Scholarship Fund for Students
Prospective students are well aware that a legal education can be a significant financial investment. What's news at the University of Cincinnati College of Law is what professors have initiated to make things a little easier for students. They've established the College of Law Faculty Scholarship Fund. Specifically, the College of Law Faculty Scholarship Fund will provide necessary financial support to our law students that will help offset the rising cost of legal education. To kick off this initiative, nearly $40,000 was raised, with the average gift exceeding $1,000. (Read More)

UC Law Hosts 100 New U.S. Citizens
About 100 people from 36 countries were sworn in as new U.S. citizens Friday, September 14 in a naturalization ceremony held just days before Constitution Day, the anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. The College of Law has hosted the program several times; but what made this year's program even more poignant were the words of support provided by UC's President Dr. Santa Ono and 3L Shahane Martirosyan, both naturalized citizens. UC Law has just launched a mobile version of its website, making it easier for smartphone and tablet users to access information quickly about the school. Users visiting the law school at www.law.uc.edu via a smartphone or tablet will be automatically directed to the new mobile site, which features access to the most popular parts of the school's full website.
