As Director of Externships & Public Service, Angelina N. Jackson, Esq. will counsel law students as well as manage the College’s legal externship programs, the Urban Law Fellowship Program and volunteer opportunities. Prior to joining the College Jackson managed the Race & Justice Project at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center and most recently served as its Deputy Director of Litigation. She also practiced litigation at Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP.
A graduate of the College of Law, she served as an associate member of the law review. She is the recipient of the 2009 Trailblazer Award from National Bar Association recognizing her advocacy for the voting rights of Ohio youth incarcerated in juvenile correctional facilities. She has argued before state and federal courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court, where she addressed the constitutionality of Ohio’s consecutive sentencing laws. Ms. Jackson, who received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida A&M University, was a fellow of the Cincinnati Academy for Leadership for Lawyers Class XIV.
