Social Justice: What's Faith Got to Do With It?

Title: Social Justice: What’s Faith Got to Do With It?
Date: November 7, 2013
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Sister Simone Campbell, Executive Director of NETWORK and a lead organizer of the Nuns on the Bus campaign, will be the keynote speaker at the Center’s Fall 2013 event. Sister Simone, religious leader, attorney, and poet, has helped shape policy debates about health care reform, federal spending, and, most recently, immigration reform. In 2012, she was instrumental in organizing NETWORK’S first “Nuns on the Bus” tour to protest proposed budget cuts to federal safety net programs.  NETWORK is a national Catholic Social Justice lobby.
