Erin Alderson, originally from Illinois, spent her formative years in New Jersey. Her family transferred to Mason, Ohio when she entered college. Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Hillsdale College. During her undergraduate education Erin took a class on the psychology and sociology of serial killers. The class was fascinating in relation to the intersection of mental illness and the law. This led her to realize the magnitude of difficult issues that those with mental illness face in the judicial system, and conversely, the challenge the law faces in dealing with psychiatric disorders.
Erin hopes to use her education and experiences with the Weaver Fellowship in the areas of civil law, by pursuing a career in medical malpractice defense or labor and employment law.
