About
Dyann Margolis serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Success and Bar Programs and is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Since joining the College of Law in 2022, she has led the design and implementation of a comprehensive academic support model that spans the entire law school journey—from orientation through bar passage — by integrating doctrinal and skills-based instruction. As part of the program, she created early interventions for first-year students and established robust post-graduate bar support initiatives.
Prior to her role at Cincinnati, she served as Assistant Dean for Academic and Bar Success at Charleston School of Law, where she successfully instituted curricular programs that led to a significant increase in bar passage rates. Her career also includes national academic leadership roles at BARBRI, where she collaborated with law schools across the country to improve student outcomes and supported faculty integration of bar-related curriculum. She began her legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Ohio, managing juvenile and family law cases and appearing before the Eleventh District Court of Appeals.
She is a committed teacher and mentor. She is actively involved in student support and advocacy, including moot court and trial team coaching. A frequent presenter at national conferences, she contributes to the broader academic support community through leadership in the Association of Academic Support Educators.
