The UC Donald P. Klekamp College of Law’s Center for Professional Development fosters a student-led culture of career exploration that empowers early ownership of the professional journey and informed decision-making. We serve as strategists and partners by delivering targeted programs, workshops, networking opportunities, individualized career guidance, and specialized resources designed to support professional development and career planning. Through engagement with employers, alumni, and the broader legal community, we assist students and alumni in pursuing meaningful professional opportunities and long-term career success.

UC Donald P. Klekamp College of Law provides numerous student resources that will assist you in launching your career. Starting in your first year, we help you create a strong, professional résumé and engage you in thoughtful conversations about your Professional Development Plan to support intentional career planning. Throughout the rest of your law school journey, we continue to provide resources and support on a wide range of professional topics, including interview skills and cultivating professional connections.

We also make it simple for employers to find students looking for work and vice versa. Our resources for employers include job postings through our online portal, 12twenty, and participation in our On-Campus Interview programs. These are easy and productive ways for employers to find prepared and talented students looking for jobs during and after law school.
