Resources for Employers
Thank you for your interest in Cincinnati Law students and graduates. UC Law students are uniquely trained through a combination of carefully curated courses and experiences that extend beyond the classroom. These experiences ensure that our law graduates are prepared to think like a lawyer and practice like a professional. Our students are eager to put their skills to work in the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond.
The Center for Professional Development (CPD) enjoys collaborating with employers and stakeholders to further student career development and job placement. Throughout the year, the College plans and implements numerous career events and programs in collaboration with employers including on-campus interviews, career fairs, information sessions, and networking opportunities.

Hiring a Student or Graduate
Posting an Announcement
The Center for Professional Development works to match the educational and experiential backgrounds of our students to employers’ specific needs. We strive to develop long-term relationships with employers to understand the unique nature of your organization and the specific qualifications and skills you seek in employees.
We welcome employer job announcements for part-time, summer, and full-time positions. All job announcements are posted to students via our online portal, 12Twenty. If you have a position you would like to post:
- Log into 12Twenty and submit the job posting. For a username/password, please contact CPD at cpdlaw@uc.edu.
- Complete our Job Posting Form HERE.
- You may forward a copy of your announcement via email to cpdlaw@uc.edu.
- You may also call us directly at 513.556.6810.
Resume Collections
Many employers take advantage of our “Resume Collect” program. Should you wish to participate in a resume collect, we will post your job AND collect resumes directly from qualified students. Although some employers choose to have students contact their organization directly, resume collects give you the added advantage of receiving all applications at one time, enabling you to simultaneously consider all candidates before scheduling interviews or arranging a campus visit.
On-Campus Interviews
Every year, UC College of Law hosts an On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) program for employers who wish to interview our law students for paid summer internships, summer associate positions and permanent positions. There is no fee to participate in our program. We welcome all types of employers:
- Large, Midsize and Small Firms
- Government
- Public Interest
- Business and Industry
Our Fall OCI begins in late July-early August. Winter OCI begins in early-February. Employers are welcome to participate by conducting interviews on-campus or virtually by Zoom. Eligible students are:
- First-year students for summer positions begin during Winter OCI. First-year students are not eligible to participate in Fall OCI
- Second-year students for summer positions and part-time fall and spring positions
- Third-year students for post-graduate positions
If you would like to be added to our outreach list for OCI registration dates, please email Assistant Director of Employer Relations, Amy Roesel, at roeselas@uc.edu
