Moot Court

Moot Court is a student-run appellate advocacy honors society at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. To join the Moot Court Honor Board, students must compete in the intramural competition during the fall semester of their 2L year. During the intramural competition, students research and prepare an appellate brief, and argue their position before members of the local legal community who act as appellate court judges. Top performing students, selected based on a combined average score from their written brief and oral arguments, are invited to join the Moot Court Honor Board for the remainder of their law school career. As members, students participate in competitions across the country, honing their written and oral advocacy skills before distinguished judges, attorneys, and law professors.
