Amazing Race 2018 Student Volunteer Sign-Up

The Office of Student Affairs, in partnership with the Student Bar Association (SBA) and the Student Legal Education Committee (SLEC), is bringing back “Race Ipsa Locate It – Cincinnati Law’s Amazing Race 2018” for the new 1L and LL.M. students this year.  The purpose of the Amazing Race is to familiarize new students with the Campus, promote team building and foster good will through informal interaction with law school community members.   The Amazing Race will be held on Sunday, August 12, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.  The Race will conclude with an ice cream social and awards presentation at the College of Law at 4:00.

How will the Amazing Race work?

New students will be evenly divided into teams and each team will race to 10 different campus locations, completing tasks at each station.  The first team to visit each station, complete each task and return to the College of Law will be declared the winner.

How can faculty and staff get involved?  As you can imagine, it will take many volunteers to make this event a success.  While there is a lot of preparation needed for the event, we primarily need faculty and staff to serve as monitors at each location.  Specifically, the monitors will greet each group and explain the task to be completed.  When the task is accomplished the monitor will sign the team’s “official” clue sheet and then wait for the next team to arrive!

If you are willing to serve as a monitor, please complete the information below:
