Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion

The Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion responds to reports of sex- and gender-based harassment, violence, and discrimination. The office also houses Title IX, a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, including sexual harassment in the form of  sexual violence, dating or domestic violence, and stalking.

If a student discloses an issue to a faculty member that does or could pertain to sex- or gender-based harassment, the faculty member is required to forward that information to the Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion. The office will follow up with the student to provide resources and an invitation to speak with someone in the office to discuss how the University can take steps to address the impact on the student and the community.  They will also inform the student of their rights and direct them to available resources.  The priority is to make sure students are safe and successful here at the University of Cincinnati.

Students may also directly report any instance of sex or gender-based discrimination, harassment or violence to the Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion at 513-556-3349 or titleix@uc.edu.  Individuals who wish to make a report, know more about their rights, and learn about supportive measures and resources on campus can consult the Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion’s website or contact the Office of Gender Equity & Inclusion.
