Individual Research Projects (IRPs) allow upper-level students to earn one, two or three credits by engaging in original research and preparing a substantial work product under the direct supervision of a faculty member. A student may enroll in only one IRP in each semester and no more than five IRP credit hours each year. A student enrolling in IRP must both register for the course and enter into a contract with a member of the faculty. Questions? Contact the Registrar at lawregis@ucmail.uc.edu.
Request an Individual Research Project Contract
The College of Law offers several classes each semester that have limited enrollments. Therefore, a lottery process is used to register students for classes.
Under College of Law rules, students may take work in other law schools and in other graduate programs to satisfy degree requirements of the College of Law, with approval of the Dean. The purpose of this College policy is to enable you to enrich your legal studies in specially tailored ways. Generally speaking, you may take a maximum of eight semester credit hours outside the law school. Questions? Contact the Registrar at lawregis@ucmail.uc.edu.

If any class fills up during Priority or Open Enrollment and you are not able to enroll in that particular course, please email the Registrar (chris.lambeth@uc.edu) to be placed on the waitlist. We will only accept emails for the waitlist that are sent after your designated Enrollment period has begun.
